National packaging company in Paarl, Western Cape requires Mechanical Design Engineer with Matric / Grade 12, National Diploma / BTech: Mechanical Engineering and four years of experience in machine design in FMCG / food processing environment (essential). You must be computer literate with minimum to years CAD experience, competent in 3D CAD machine design. You must have valid driver’s licence, own transport and be willing to travel nationally and internationally.
You will be responsible to produce efficient designs (packaging machinery and equipment), compiles assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings in accordance with acknowledged manufacturing standards, compile part specifications, BOM’s, production orders and manuals and issue revisions and updates on manufacturing drawings, material lists and machine manuals. You will also be required to provides technical support during manufacturing processes and for technicians on-site.
Salary package negotiable (depending on experience and qualifications)
