Packaging company in Cape Town / Paarl (Western Cape) requires Electrical Design Engineer (Experience in the Building and Commissioning of High-Speed Packaging / Food Processing Machinery and Equipment Essential).
You must have Matric / Grade 12, National Diploma / BTech: Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering and 3-5 years’ experience in electrical circuit design, automation design in the building and commissioning of high-speed packaging and food processing machinery and equipment (essential to be considered for this position.)
You must have experience in PLC automation design and commissioning of control systems – programming experience using Siemens TIA Portal essential – alternative programming software knowledge such as CODESYS / Allen Bradley Compact / Delta ISP Soft, in packaging industry would be advantageous.
Previous experience of electrical CAD packages (E-plan P8) advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the design of electrical and automation systems in the building and commissioning of high-speed Packaging / Food processing machinery and equipment.
You will be responsible to produce detailed electrical drawings, layout diagrams and control programs, to specify electrical components required, to test and revise control programs during testing phase, commissioning of machinery and equipment, provide technical support during the building process and provide customer support.
